Synopsis: When a Hollywood actor begins teaching Drama at a small town’s high school, an aspiring actress auditions for a lead role in the school play (Set in the 1950’s). She reaches out to the new teacher in an effort to better her acting abilities. He pushes her to commit to the role to such a degree that it ultimately consumes her.

Character Bios: CHARACTER 1 GRACE: Open ethnicity, female, ages 18-25 Aspiring actress, talented singer, determined and confident. Can speak and behave like a teenager in the 1950’s.

CHARACTER 2 MR. KANE: Caucasian, male, ages 25-35 A narcissistic, actor-turned-teacher, with the demeanour of a hipster Vancouverite. Takes the high-school play very seriously and is willing to push the students to achieve his vision. Able to change characters quick, referencing James McAvoy’s role in Split (1950’s Father is essential to this role).

CHARACTER 3 MEGHAN: Open ethnicity, female, ages 18-25 Popular student with the demeanour of an instagram model, fashionable popular girl. Gets the role of the 1950’s Mother in the school play, in which she must be the wife of the TEACHER’s character.

CHARACTER 4 SCOTT: Open ethnicity, male, ages 18-25 Relatively athletically built, clean shaven. Gets the role of the brother in the 1950’s play; enjoys acting but is more keen on the social aspect of high school. Easy going, easy breezy, passionate about the play but to an extent.

CHARACTER 5 GRACE’S MOM: Open ethnicity, female, ages 30-50. Hard working single mother who begins to grow concerned by the lengths her daughter is willing to go for her role in the high school play.
