Tyler Perry’s TV show The Oval has casting calls out in the Atlanta area.
Tyler Perry’s BET series is now filming and casting directors for the show (CAB) are looking for Atlanta area locals that would like to work on set as paid extras, background actors & stand-ins.
According to the show’s description, “The Oval” is a drama set in the White House. “The Oval” is written, directed and produced by Tyler Perry and focuses on a family that is put into position at the White House, by people in powerful places. The story focuses on the White House staff and the aides that work behind the scenes in the country’s most iconic house. The IMDB description of the show simply states “Newly-elected U.S. President Hunter Franklin and his family move into the White House.” IMDB does not a more extensive description of “The Oval” nor has the TV show’s release date been posted.
Tyler Perry and BET have brought together a cast which includes actors who have worked on various Tyler Perry shows. That cast includes Javon Johnson, Ptosha Storey of Empire, Vaughn Hebron, Teesha Renee, Lodric Collins (Grimm), Ciera Payton (She’s Gotta Have It), Taja V. Simpson (A Madea Halloween), Walter Fantleroy, Brad Benedict, Matthew Law (The Paynes) and others.
Reports state that BET has ordered 25 episodes of the Tyler Perry series and Perry has a multi-year contract with Viacom.
